Measuring Your Day

I pray that you will know that the blessings God has promised his holy people are rich and glorious. And you will know that God’s power is very great for us who believe.
—Ephesians 1:18–19 (ICB)

When you wake up in the morning, your first thoughts are about the day ahead. You think of the things you need to do—and you wonder if you are up to it.

Next time, instead of measuring your day against what you think you can do, measure it against what you know I can do— which is anything! There is no such thing as a day too tough for me—not a test day, not a moving day, not a my-parents-had-a-terrible-fight day.

I already know everything you’ll face today. And I’ll help you face it. I don’t give you the same amount of strength every day. When you need more—and when you trust Me more—then I give you more. Look to Me for all that you need. I promise I won’t let you down!
