It Really is Unconditional

It's the first day after Christmas.

I woke up and have read this daily devotional from "Jesus Calling" of Sarah Young.

It really makes a lot of difference doing this everyday , when I wake up. Or read later when I am on the bus or train.

It Really Is Unconditional

God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him.
—1 John 4:16

Every second of every day, I give you the gift of My unconditional Love. It is truly a gift, with no strings attached.

Many of My children have trouble understanding the “unconditional” part. It means that nothing in heaven or on earth—not even your sins—can cause Me to stop loving you.

When you think you are doing all right, you may feel more loved. And when you mess up, you may feel less loved. But those are only your feelings. My Love is perfect, and that means it never changes.

When you’ve messed up, you often feel unworthy of My Love. You may pull away from Me without realizing it—and then think I have pulled away from you. But the whole time, all I want to do is wrap you up in My arms and surround you with My Love.

No matter how you are feeling, come to Me. My Love really is unconditional.
