The One Thing

Whatever is good and perfect comes down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens.

He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.

Every good thing in your life comes from Me. Your home, your favorite things, the people who love you—they are My gifts to you. And though I have given you many pleasures and many things, not one of them is really necessary. Only one thing is truly necessary—having Me in your life.

Before you knew Me as your Savior, you thought your hopes and dreams could be met by things of this world. But now you know better: I am the One who fulfills your dreams. I do want you to enjoy the gifts that I give you. But remember to thank Me—the Giver of all good things. And don’t start thinking that you have to have these gifts.

Cling to Me, not My gifts. Trust Me to make you complete. The one thing that you alwaysneed is the one thing you can never lose— My Presence with you.

Today when I woke up,
I had a choice of what my first task will be.
Either to check on my Facebook or lnstagram
or just do my usual routines , prepare and eat breakfast.

But...

It is different now.

I chose to read #JesusCalling instead and start wearing Jesus to prepare me for the day.

Here is why.







Put Me On

Clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ.

—Romans 13:14

Every morning you put on the clothes you need for that day. A jacket for cooler days. Boots for rain. Sweats for exercising. Putting on the right clothes prepares you for your day.

Clothes take care of the outside, but what about the inside? I have a suggestion: Put Me on. Wear Me. This will prepare you for your day.

How? “Put Me on” by talking to Me first thing in the morning. And then “wear Me” throughout the day by keeping Me in your thoughts. Keep checking in, because things change. Just as a change in the weather might call for a change in clothes, a change in your world might call for a change from Me. Maybe this morning you needed encouragement, but now a little forgiveness is what you need.

So clothe yourself with Me—it’s the best way to start your day.

I can't express the feeling on how spirit-filled devotionals have blessed my soul.

So they can feed more hungry, desperate, frustrated souls and lead them back to you.

Hints of Heaven

Dear Lord, please lead me to walk with You always.
I know, the busyness and worries of life
will push me away from you.

Did you know that you can get a glimpse of heaven right now, here on earth? When you walk along your life-path with Me, you are already experiencing the most important part of heaven—nearness to Me. And all throughout your day, you can find hints of heaven along your pathway.

The morning sunlight that opens your eyes can remind you that in heaven there is no darkness; there is only the Light of My Presence. The birds teach you how to sing My praises—loud and strong and filled with joy. The flowers, the trees, and the skies can all give you glimpses of the beauty that is waiting for you in heaven.

As you walk through your day today, keep your eyes and ears fully open. Hints of heaven are all around you!

You are a child of God on Sunday morning, but whose are you the rest of the week? You are a child of God at church camp, but whose are you at the basketball game? You are a child of God as you lead a prayer, but whose are you when you’re deciding what movie to see with your friends?

I want the world to look at you, at what you do and say, and know that you are Mine—whether it’s Sunday, Tuesday morning, or Friday night.

Come to Me each morning so that I can prepare you for your day. Ask Me to help you live the day as a royal child of the King. Never forget who you are and Whose you are!
