Do Not fear - Jesus Ep 002

Sometimes in life, you get fearful.

You get fearful maybe because you think too much.

Maybe you lost a job, a relationship, needs a new direction in life,
you fought with a colleague or your bestfriend.

Anything could make you fearful.

The truth is, anyone could suffering from it , right now.

But aren't you glad, you are reading this blog right now so I could remind you
how blessed you are even in the midst of your storm because
YOU GOT JESUS in you?

Yes. You are blessed!

So let me tell you, rebuke that feelings right now and rise up by getting back on God's word.

Read the Bible verse again.

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
2Tim 1:7

What a beautiful reminder!

As Jesus keeps reminding us always.

Surely, God knows [ages ago], that His children get scared and fearful everytime we have problems attack us every now and then,
that's why He has written several times in the Bible--- DO NOT FEAR!
It has written 365x, for you to grab unto the whole year.
Imagine that!

So, let me tell you again.

DO NOT FEAR.

in the midst of your fears, keep praising Him and enjoy His abundant peace.
Relax and enjoy life. Focus only on Jesus.

For now, let me show this photo of Jesus at the cross.

God has gave up His only Son, Jesus for you and me.
At the cross, Jesus cried out "my GOD, my GOD, why have you forsaken me?"
so today, we as His children, redeemed by Jesus can shout,
"Abba, Father why have you so blessed me?"

Wow!
HALLELUYAAAAAAH!

What an awesome Abba, Father!

God Is Not Like Our Parents

When I was a kid, my mama had this habit of using God to correct my
behavior.
She would say, "If you do this bad thing again, God will punish you! And He will
send you to hell! But if you are good, He will reward you."

Those words had kept me fearful for years in my life,
thinking that God is really fierce.

I tried to fix myself, read articles/ books on how to improve my whole being,
went to church with that reasons but to no avail...

I ended up staying away from Him for sooooooo long!
(Yes. wasted years.)

Little did I know, that I judged God wrongly.
I felt He is like my parents who everytime I committed mistakes and
acted badly He would whip me out of my confusions and reprimand me.

Somehow it affected me spiritually.
and living thinking that we have a very fierce God was not so
healthy for me.

TODAY!!!

I have come to know the TRUTH that God is not the way I thought He is.

He loves me..

He loves you..

..and that's even if you sin or not..

and everyone of us in this world!

The proof?

Because He gave up His son , Jesus Christ for us to be our sacrifice.

That even if we sin or fail in our lives, He can still see us righteous
through Jesus!

Jesus has become our shield.

Can I not rest in this assurance that God has given to us?

Of course now I can fully rest!

Now, I am free!!

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,
that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
(John 3:16)

The King Is Not Angry With You

Proverbs 19:12
12The king’s wrath is like the roaring of a lion, but his favor is like dew on the grass.

The Bible tells us that the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. (1 Peter 5:8) But have you ever wondered why he acts like a roaring lion?

It has something to do with a lion’s roar. In the Bible, the roaring of a lion speaks of the king’s wrath — “The king’s wrath is like the roaring of a lion”. So when the devil walks about like a roaring lion, he is trying to give you the impression that the King is angry with you. And when you believe that God is angry with you, the devil knows that he has got you.

When you think that God is angry or displeased with you, you will not be confident of His love toward you. Instead, you will expect and fear punishment from Him. And you will want to stay away from Him because you do not wish to incur His wrath any further.

But the truth is that God is not angry with you, even when you fail or blow it, because all your sins have already been judged in the body of His Son at the cross. As the Lamb of God, Jesus became your burnt offering. That is why He said, “I thirst.” (John 19:28)

Those who heard Him say that at Calvary that day thought that His thirst was physical. Actually, His thirst was spiritual because He was being “burnt” by the fire of God’s wrath. He was being judged for our sins. His body exhausted all of God’s wrath until every claim of God’s holiness was satisfied and His wrath appeased!

Now, there is a law called “the law of double jeopardy”, which states that the same crime cannot be tried twice. Today, the fire of God’s wrath will never fall on you as a believer because it has already fallen on His Son at the cross. He judged your sins then, but in the body of His Son.

So right now, you are not under the King’s wrath but His favor. And His favor rains down on you like dew on the grass every morning!

The Antidote To Fear

1 John 4:18
18There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear…

Experts tell us that babies have two natural fears: the fear of falling and the fear of loud noises. A study on fear was conducted on 500 adults of varying ages, backgrounds and lifestyles. The results showed that they shared some 7,000 different fears. This means that they must have learnt 6,998 fears since they were born. That is a lot of fears!

Actually, our bodies are designed for faith. Fear was foreign to man until Adam sinned against God. For the first time, Adam knew fear, and he hid from God and said, “I heard Your voice… I was afraid… I hid myself.” (Genesis 3:10)

Since then, man has been living in the realm of fear — fear of the future, fear of what others might say, fear of diseases, fear of flying… Actually, every fear is born out of the feeling of being cut off from God. If you think that God is still mad at you, that He is out to punish you, how can you have faith that everything will be all right? How can you have faith for your miracle?

But I have good news for you. There is a sure antidote to fear. The apostle John says that “perfect love casts out fear”. When you know that God so loves you that He gave His Son to take your beating so that you can take His blessings, you will stop fearing.

God so loves you that at the cross, Jesus was rejected so that you could become God’s beloved. It was not the nails that kept Jesus on the cross. It was His love for you. And if God did not withhold Jesus, why do you think that He will withhold healing, finances or a blessed marriage from you? (Romans 8:32)

Today, when you hear His voice, you will hear Him say, “You are My beloved child, in you I am well pleased.” And you don’t have to hide but you can run to Him without fear because He is not out to punish you. He is out to protect, prosper and provide for you, so fear not!

A Fearful Expectation of Judgment vs A Confident Expectation of Good

This is in response to the blog that I wrote on the 18th of May(2007) entitled
"A Typical Christian"

This powerful sermon from Pastor Prince has liberated me from fear of being judged by
others.
Yes, I am a Christian . And I am not perfect.
I still have bad behaviors and habits hidden in me.
Some I couldn't just get rid off easily.

Apparently, non-believers or even fellow Christians
could judge and condemn me naturally,
point a finger at me and would eventually make me feel that
I am not worthy to receive Christ
because I have fallen short...because I did wrong and have sinned.

But that's not how Jesus' ways work.

Now, that I know the truth.
I can just smile and be rested.

Although how dirty and sinful I am right now .I can still come boldly to JESUS!
Because His blood has washed me clean from all my sins!
Jesus died for my sins. He has greatly paid for it.

And why should I continue to lock myself in
the dark when the light has come.

Jesus is the light!

Jesus is my LIGHT!

And no matter what..I'm gona be in that SHADE OF LIGHT FOREVER!

Enjoy the mp3 peepz!
