Happiness vs Joy

I used to think we humans should always chase "Happiness".
I get lots of advices or words saying,"if you are happy with your decision then go for it. "

"If you are happy about this and that, it should be okay. "

But then I realized, "happiness" is just temporary.

One must not spend all his lifetime chasing for it.

"Joy" on the other hand is eternal. It's what makes you tick in the midst of your circumstance.

Happiness is indeed, temporary. Joy in Jesus is forever.

This devotional from Sarah Young says it all.

Please take time to read and meditate on it.

You will know what I'm talking about.

Honor and majesty surround him; strength and joy fill his dwelling.
—1 Chronicles 16:27 (NLT)

Happiness and Joy are not the same thing.

Happiness depends on this world, on what is going on around you. Happiness is when you ace the test, or make the winning shot, or you’re headed for a vacation at the beach with your best friend. It depends on everything being just right. Happiness is wonderful, but it lasts only a little while.

But Joy—true Joy—is something entirely different. Joy doesn’t depend on this world, or whether you’re having a good day; it depends on Me. Joy is knowing that I am in control, that I love you and will take care of you—even when you flunk the test, or make the last out, or your family can’t afford a vacation. Stay close to Me, and I’ll give you My Joy in every situation.

I May make my Plans but still Jesus has the Last Word part 2

You know, we always have our own plan.
We pray for it to come true.
If God says yes. We are happy. And then we move on to satisfy our wants or needs again.
It goes on and on as long as we are breathing.
Just like my own experience,
I have been so blessed God is granting most of my wishes and dreams.
I remember 9 years ago when I was badly stuck in the Philippines and wanted a new career to reach my dreams. I asked Him to take me to a country where it's safe and would have an impact on my life. Then surprisingly, He sent me here in Singapore. Inspite of my not so good academic achievements or records, was able to have a Permanent Resident here and currently, working (still) with good bosses and colleagues. Most importantly, it is here that I have to know the real Jesus.Truly a favour. His grace working in my life.
Forward to this day,
Of course, I got another plan that's been juggling on my mind.
I want to establish my own business now, it could be here or in the Philippines. Take my mom with me so we can be together here in Singapore hopefully by next year (2016).
Major plans , I can say.
With my business on mind, I have already talked it out to Jesus. And I think He has been talking to me about it. Leading me to work on it in my own phase.
You see, things have changed.
Now, I just don't want a business that's profitable. Every entrepreneur wants that.
This time, I want a business that will have an impact on one's life ...profitable and life-changing one step at a time. Cuz you see, this world is getting busier each day. Everyone just want to make money, money , money and would fight to getout
Of the rat race.

Me?

I'm taking Jesus' directions. And redirections.
It might be a little bit slow. But it's ok. As long as He is with me,
no effort or time is wasted.

What about you?
What are your plans lately?

Always Talk To Jesus

I am so blessed to receive all these amazing Jesus daily devotional almost everyday from my dear friends.
That's why I always make it a habit to make time and update or share it here in my blog so in my little ways, I'd be able to bless others too.
Read on...

Every day we are forced to make decisions. From the moment we open our eyes in the morning our decision making process starts; Should I get out of bed, or hit the snooze button for 10 more minutes of sleep? Do I wear the red shirt or the blue? Have breakfast or skip it? Or course there are more serious decisions that we make as well and with every choice we make, we must keep in mind that for every ‘action’ there is a ‘reaction.’ If we make wrong choices, we will suffer the consequences. Just one decision can alter the course of our lives - and that’s why it’s important to ask God to be part of all the decisions we make! With God in charge, we never have to worry about; “Am I doing the right thing?” We can move forward with confidence knowing that God is leading and guiding each step of the way! Talk to Him about the little things AND the big things! Whether it is as small as what to eat for dinner, or as critical as changing a career path - God wants us to lean on Him fully and completely! When you are in the valley of decision and don’t know where to turn, go to Jesus first! He is a great listener and He is truly interested in all you have to say!

In Psalm 16:2 we’re told, “I say to God, ‘Be my Lord!’ Without You, nothing makes sense.”

Text: Proverbs 16:9, Psalm 25:8, Haggai 1:5, Proverbs 8:10-11

How To Ignore Negativities in Your Life

Everyday in your life,
You can fill your soul with lies from the devil. Lies that cause stress, anxieties or depressions

Or

You can fill your soul with these truths.

The more negative thoughts poke you, the more that you should push youself in reading books like this. I highly recommend Joseph Prince' "The Power of Right Believing".

This book is amazing and have transformed lives. Who knows one of it could be yours too.:)

Chat with you soon.

I need to drink my green tea coffee now before it gets cold.

Good morning Beloveds!

The Power of Choice

Just like watching a tv.

You can switch channels to satisfy your needs.

Same goes in our lives, if we are sad, we always have the choice to either take it and be sad or decide to be happy instead.

Of course, Jesus would love to see us as His children taking advantage of the gift of power of choice the good and healthier way.

That is, to always choose to be of good hope and cheer.

Stay on the happy and lighter side of life.

And be positive always no matter what.

We are in this together with Jesus.
The only thing that's gonna keep you and Jesus together is to hold unto that faith.

Yes, keep the faith while we move on to see His glory someday.
Always believe that with Jesus in your life, you are always ready to live in confidence no matter what.

Stay focused in Jesus.

He got your back.

Jesus Can Identify With Your Pain

Jesus Can Identify With Your Pain

Leviticus 2:4
4‘And if you bring as an offering a grain offering baked in the oven, it shall be unleavened cakes of fine flour mixed with oil,or unleavened wafers anointed with oil.

Private pains, deep hurts, shameful addictions. You may think that nobody understands what you are going through, but God does. He can identify with all your pains and is able to help you. (Hebrews 2:18, 4:15)

In the Old Testament, the grain offering brought to God speaks of Jesus’ life on earth. The fine flour, which the grain offering is made with, is flour that has been pounded, ground, beaten and sifted through to get it consistently even and fine. Therefore, it typifies the humanity and sufferings of Jesus.

One of the ways the Jewish women prepared the grain offering was to bake it. The baking done in the depths of the oven speaks of the “hidden” sufferings that Jesus went through. I believe that Jesus faced sufferings that we cannot fully understand. Even as a young boy, He must have gone through sufferings that prepared Him to die for all humanity at the cross. And during His ministry years, it must have grieved Him when time and time again, He found unbelief not just in the people around Him, but even in His disciples.

Jesus also suffered at the hands of men — slanderers who misunderstood Him. Once, the Pharisees insinuated that He was born out of wedlock because His mother was with child before she married Joseph. (John 8:39, 41) That scandalous remark, probably not the first, must have hurt Him.

Consider also the temptations He faced. There were not only three. God’s Word says that He was tempted for 40 days! (Luke 4:2) Not all the temptations were recorded. Those 40 days must have tried Him sorely.

What do all these mean?

My friend, Jesus went through all those temptations and sufferings for you, yet He did not sin. (Hebrews 4:15) There is no temptation or suffering that you are going through that He cannot identify with. So come to His throne of grace today and receive His superabounding grace to face and overcome those trials in your life!
